1 State Away!

6 months ago Josh and Lacey Nagao informed me that would be moving to Ohio! I can't begin to describe how excited this made me!

It has been over a year since Will and I packed our life up and drove across the country to Pittsburgh. Leaving UT and the life we had made there was one of the hardest things I have ever done. We literally "closed a chapter!"

Each day I fall a little more in love with PA. I am so grateful for my amazing job, Will's happiness in his career, living so close to the Merrell's and most importantly starting a new chapter.

Josh and Lacey are only hours away from us. It is going to be amazing having a Kappa Delta sister so close. Shopping trips and lunch dates are not the same without a KD sister.

Cheers to new adventures and East Coast living!

Lake Erie

This past weekend Will and spent time at Lake Erie. One of the best things about living on the east coast is being in close proximity to so many beautiful places.

Lake Erie is only a two hour drive north from our home. We left Saturday afternoon and spend Saturday night at the Presque horse track. Later that night we watched the sunset and ate a delicious dinner.

Sunday morning we woke up early and headed straight to the beach. We spent the entire day tanning, reading and listening to the pirates game on the radio. It was so nice to get away from work and just relax.

Repurposed headboard

One of my hobbies is decorating my house. I am always shopping at antique stores and consignment furniture shops. I found an amazing cream colored 1960's headboard and had to have it.

My wall color is yellow and my bedding and accessories are shades of blue, blue and white. I wanted the headboard to be the focus piece of my room so I painted it turquoise.

I am still looking for a floral drape that will bring some pattern to my room. If anyone has any drape ideas, please let me know.

I have cracked

The Merrell's will now be blogging!

Since we are across the country from many of our friends and family, it is time for us to keep everyone updated!

For memorial day weekend Will and I had a picnic on the river, saw a movie and I did lots of shopping!

My hair dresser suggested that I check out Gabriel Brothers, a discount name brand clothing store, amazing!

I was able to get Will shorts for $10 and I gathered dressses for $12-15!

This place is better than TJMAX, Ross and Marshalls!
